Clacton on Sea, Essex, UK Official street address is: 1 North Sea 1871 Originally designed and built by engineer Peter Bruff The Clacton Pier Company ltd. Taken over by the current owners in march 2009. Length: 1160 ft covering 6.5acres (largest pier in Europe). Currently undergoing a 15 year refurbishment programme

Clacton Pier is one of the uk's best known seaside piers And during it's heyday soon after the second world war was Known as one of the countrys premier tourist attraction. In the 1930's a roller coaster was constructed on the pier call Steel Stella the ride was a big success and remained at the pie until the 1970's when a fire n the lift house caused severe damage which resulted in the ride being closed and later removed.

Since then the pier has been home to a Vekoma Whirlwind coaster and a number of smaller coasters until 2011 when the current owners Installed a pinfari z40 known as stellas revenge.
