Colossus was a racing out and back wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Magic Mountain. It opened in 1978 as the tallest coaster in the world, along with Gemini at Cedar Point. Colossus was built by International Amusement Devices, Inc..[1] The ride closed on August 16, 2014 for the renovation into Twisted Colossus.
