History[]
- Crystal Beach Cyclone
Comet debuted as a twister wooden roller coaster in 1926 in Crystal Beach Amusement Park in Ontario, Canada. The layout featured several twisted drops and violent shaker turns with a high speed of 97 kmph, which combined caused several cases of motion sickness and injuries in the riders.
According to roller coaster historians, the ride was so extremely intense that there was a first-aid stall and a nurse in the station.
- Crystal Beach Comet
After it's dismantelation as Cyclone, the ride was completely rebuiilt from a twister coaster to a straight track.
