Bob (or Bobbaan in Dutch) was an Intamin AG bobsled roller coaster located at Efteling in Kaatsheuvel, North Brabant, Netherlands.

Name[]

The name seems to be inconsistent across the website, the park and signs. "Swiss Bob", "Bob", "Bobslee" or "Bobbaan" can be seen, however just "Bob" is used on the ride's entrance, and thus is the name Coasterpedia uses.

Design & general information[]

The ride's station has an Australian-Alps theme. The ride is smooth, especially since the original steel wheels were replaced by softer ones in order to comply with the night-opening license. The ride meanders through the trees, and has some nice drops, curves and points where the ride really picks up some speed.

Trains[]

Single-car trains.

The ride used to have cars with inline seating. These were later sold to Six Flags Over Texas for use on their La Vibora roller coaster and replaced with ones that sat two across. The trains were sold in an attempt to raise the ride's capacity. Closedown: in 2017 and 2018 the bob had several technical problems. in 2018 it was announced that the bob will closedown and will be replaced by a powered coaster with the name Max & Moritz which will be opened in 2020.
