Joker's Jinx is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, USA.[1] The ride uses linear induction motor (LIM) technology to launch riders from 0 - 60 mph in 3 seconds, without touching the bottom of the train.

History[]

Joker's Jinx opened with Two-Face: The Flip Side (now defunct) on May 8, 1999.

For the 2002 season, the ride's manufacturer Premier Rides gave the trains an overhaul and replaced the over-the-shoulder restraints with lap-bars.

Design[]

Joker's Jinx begins with a 60 mph (97 km/h) launch. Next, the ride travels through a sidewinder, followed by several winding curves and a corkscrew.
