Vertical Velocity is an Intamin AG inverted launched shuttle roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois.[1] The ride is located in the Yankee Harbor section of the park.[2]

Vertical Velocity opened on May 18, 2001. It is located in the Yankee Harbor section of the park.
In 2004, an additional support was added on both towers to increase stability.
