Goliath is a Vekoma inverted shuttle roller coaster located at Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts.[1] The ride is one of four Giant Inverted Boomerangs built by Vekoma. The design is very similar to Vekoma's Boomerang design, but has completely vertical lifts on both ends. The ride opened in August 2001, and is the last of the three Giant Inverted Boomerangs operating at a Six Flags park.
History
Edit
Goliath originally opened at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California under the name "Déjà Vu". Pretty soon, Six Flags New England announced they were adding Goliath, a boomerang type coaster. The only Deja Vu left at a Six Flags park was the one at Magic Mountain. After ten years of operation, Deja Vu closed on October 16, 2011 and was dismantled. Parts were later shipped off to Massachusetts to begin construction on Goliath, what we know Deja Vu as today.
