NameEdit

The coaster is named in honor of the wooden coaster it replaced, Hercules. It is interesting that Hydra replaced Hercules while in Greek mythology, Hercules conquered the Hydra.

TriviaEdit

  • Many coaster enthusiasts debate whether Hydra has 6 or 7 inversions, as some say the dive loop does not completely invert riders
  • Hydra features the world's first and only on-ride camera that photographs riders while upside-down. The camera is located in the Heartline roll.
