Interlocking corkscrews

Interlocking corkscrews on Superman Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Interlocking Corkscrews is an element usually found on Bolliger & Mabillard roller coasters, which consists of two corkscrew inversions that spin around each other; one turns riders upside down over the other. Usually, only a banked curve separates the two corkscrews.

Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park is the only inverted roller coaster to feature interlocking corkscrews on the same track, although Dragon Challenge features the first corkscrew on the "Chinese Fireball" track interlocks with the corkscrew on "Hungarian Horntail". This is the only case where corkscrews from two different tracks interlock.

ExamplesEdit

All roller coasters with this element where manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard apart from Huracan, which was built by Gerstlauer.
