Pinfari was a roller coaster manufacturer based in Mantua Mantua, Italy, founded by Daniel Pinfari. This ride manufacturer was especially known for making very compact models with small footprints, such as the popular ZL42.

HistoryEdit

Pinfari started its life in the amusement industry in the 1920's, maintaining Dodgems for fairgrounds. Their first roller coaster type, the steel Zyklon, was developed in the 1950s. Pinfari coasters are very simple in design. The track consists of two rails with bars in-between, similar to a ladder. Over 150 roller coasters (many of which are clones and appear to be temporary structures) were designed by Pinfari. Due to the September 11, 2001 attacks, an economic crisis, and weakness of the dollar, Pinfari was liquidated on July 15, 2004. The company is now owned by Interpark.
