Shockwave is an Intamin AG stand-up roller coaster located at Drayton Manor in Staffordshire, England. The ride originally had an aqua green track and tan supports. In 2004 the Shockwave was repainted blue with white supports. Shockwave is currently the only stand-up coaster to have a zero-g roll.The ride was sub-contracted by Giovanola. It is still the only stand-up roller coaster in Europe.

Trivia[]

The opening in 1994 of The Big One, Nemesis and Shockwave resulted in 1994 being celebrated by UK parks and fans as the "Year of the Rollercoaster".[1][2]
